History of Raja Suheldev :

Raja Suheldev was the king of Shravasti, which was an important kingdom in ancient India. During his reign, the region was attacked by Turkic invader Mahmud of Ghazni, who had already captured several other regions in northern India. Mahmud led his army towards Shravasti with the intention of conquering it.

However, Raja Suheldev was prepared for the invasion and had already formed an alliance with other local kings to defend his kingdom. In the famous Battle of Bahraich, Raja Suheldev led his army against Mahmud's forces and emerged victorious, defeating the Turkic invaders and forcing them to retreat.

After his victory over Mahmud of Ghazni, Raja Suheldev became a symbol of resistance against foreign invaders in northern India. He is considered a hero by the people of Uttar Pradesh and is celebrated in folklore and literature.
